Welcome to 'Through Jakes Eyes' a site in celebration of the life of Jake Lewis (10/4/62 - 2/11/09).
Jake was a free spirit, who loved taking photos of everything he saw, as he didn't want to miss anything and often said that a photo is what you miss when you blink! He had an amazing eye, and saw beauty in everything, and carried his beloved camera with him wherever he went.
He was a frustrated artist, who openly admitted that photography was the best artistic outlet for him, as he was too impatient to paint, as he could never wait for the paint to dry and said he was also too lazy to paint, although some of his pencil/charcoal sketches adorn the walls of at least two households...read more
