Through Jakes Eyes

Welcome to 'Through Jakes Eyes' a site in celebration of the life of Jake Lewis (10/4/62 - 2/11/09).

Jake was a free spirit, who loved taking photos of everything he saw, as he didn't want to miss anything and often said that a photo is what you miss when you blink! He had an amazing eye,, and saw beauty in everything, and carried his beloved camera with him wherever he went.

He was a frustrated artist, who openly admitted that photography was the best artistic outlet for him, as he was too impatient to paint, as he could never wait for the paint to dry and said he was also too lazy to paint, although some of his pencil/charcoal sketches adorn the walls of at least two households.

He sadly lost his battle against Cancer in November 2009. This site has been built to celebrate his life, showcase his photographs and hopefully raise some money for Cancer Research, and also for his children, as his photos are his legacy to us and to them. All money raised from the sale of his photographs will be split equally (50/50) between his children and Cancer Research.
